L’ACADEMIE LYRIQUE AND THE TIMISOARA STATE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA PRESENT:
INTERNATIONAL SYMPHONIC MASTERCLASS FOR CONDUCTORS

The Académie Lyrique organizes an orchestra conducting masterclass with Maestro Alexandre Myrat that will take place from Friday 2d until Thursday 7th December 2017 in Vendôme, France. It is open to conductors from all countries, without age or level limit.
It will offer a global vision of orchestra conducting through the study of motions related to the nature, character, dynamics and intensity of the sound, based on the historical foundations of conducting technique, a phenomenological approach of score reading and its practical consequences.

Ludwig van Beethoven : Piano Concerto No. 4
Franz Schubert : Symphony No. 1
Benjamin Britten : Sinfonietta op.1
Copland : Appalachian spring
The masterclass includes:
•A minimum of 90 minutes conducting time with orchestra
•A minimum of 45 minutes with piano
•Dress rehearsal and concert on Thursday 7 December, 2017.
Sessions with orchestra will be held during mornings and afternoons, sessions with piano will be held in the evening alongside score analysis and conducting technique, according to a schedule that will be later provided to the participants.
The masterclass will close with a dress rehearsal and a final public concert on December 7, 2017.
At the end of the masterclass, two symphonic concerts with the Teplice Philharmonic Orchestra in Prag Smetana Hall, and in Vienna Novamatic Forum Concert Series will be offered to participants selected by the directors of the Académie Lyrique and the musicians of the Timisoara State Philharmonic Orchestra. Regarding this last point, the masterclass directors keep the right not to attribute any of these concerts if they consider that the participants level is not high enough.
A Certificate of participation will be provided to every participant who has completed the masterclass.
The masterclass will be held in English, French, Spanish and German.
